Candid, expressive, unconventional photography...
Hi! Thanks for checking out my website.
The most important thing I can tell you is that I'm a photographer. I don't call myself a "wedding photographer" because I shoot so much more. I shoot what's around me, what interests me. And what interests me is people.
(That time I took wedding pics on a carousel)
That's why I love shooting weddings. The people, the emotions, the once in a life moments. Since 2014 I've shot over 60 weddings, and here's my promise to you:
I will try my best to capture all the magic, chaos and beauty of your day. I'll be on the look out for real human emotion and surprises. All the joy, the humor and the bittersweet. I'll do my best to catch the candid moments with grace and humor. To create images that mean everything to you now and in years to come.
(That time I found a giant grasshopper statue at a venue)
I'll also stop and get you coffee on my way. I'll bring duct tape and candy (for emergencies). I'll help the groomsmen with their ties and keep everyone's nerves calm with laughter.
How did I become a wedding photographer?
By accident! I've loved photography since I was a kid, but didn't shoot my first wedding until 2013. It was a friend's backyard wedding and I did it was a favor, but was shocked at how much fun it was. So I kept doing it. As a 2nd shooter (to learn more) and then on my own.
What's important to me as a small business owner?
The most important thing is that I own and operate my own business (woman owned businesses rule!) It's also vital that I'm inclusive and work with people of all kinds. LGBT friendly to the max!
I'm married with 2 rescue dogs. If you follow me online you will see a ton of pics of my dogs.
I got married in Vegas in 2008. Actually, we eloped. I never wanted a wedding. So it's funny that weddings have become such a huge part of my life.
We met on match.com. My husband looked for girls who like Tom Waits. We love horror movies and dogs (duh!) We live on property that has been in my husband's family for over 100 years and we have a barn.

Here are more things I like:
"A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know."
“Photographs open doors into the past but they also allow a look into the future.”
Shelby Lee Adams
"My portraits are, in a way, self-portraits that represent a long autobiographical exploration of creativity, imagination, vision, repulsion and salvation. My greatest fear as a photographer is to look into the eyes of my subject and not see my own reflection. "
“All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth.”
